What is ISO 9000?* ISO is a universal, quality assurance management system endorsed by European Nations and other countries. It is a checklist of function, policies, and rules necessary to assure the quality of a company's products and services. An ISO 9000 certificate certifies a particular quality system with the ISO defined model. Over the years, registration has become a method whereby customers can be assured of a supplier's ability to provide a product and/or service in a conforming, orderly manner. AS 9100 is the aerospace standard based on ISO 9000 elements. A quality procedure written to meet the AS 9100 adds specific aerospace technical requirements. *Information supplied by K & S Enterprise
