CNC MACHINING, SHEET METAL FABRICATION, WELDING, AND GUN DRILLING

CAD/CAM: Our programming department utilizes Solidworks 3-D solid modeling CAD software, Surfcam 3-Axis machining software, as well as AutoCAD mechanical desktop. This enables us to work from blueprints or virtually any customer file. Certified/Production Welding: We are certified in virtually every welding process, including GTAW (tig), GMAW (mig), spot-welding, and brazing & soldering. Our fluent knowledge of welding processes allows us to build accurate machined/welded assemblies. CNC Milling & Turning: Our CNC department consists of up-to-date machining centers and lathes. Our milling area currently consists of six Haas vertical machining centers with travels up to 3' x 5', and can support 2-5 axis milling requirements. Our lathe area currently consists of a Hitachi-Seiki CNC lathe with barfeeder, able to turn 16" diameter. Sheet Metal Fabrication/Assembly: Our state-of-the-art press brakes and shear allow us to build close tolerance, complex components. In addition, our assembly department is capable of completing assemblies utilizing fasteners, rivets, nutplates, helicoils, etc. Quality Control: Acme Metal Works currently conforms to QQ-A-45208A and is in the process of obtaining ISO 9000 certification. We presently operate a Mitotoyo Brt 916 CMM, capable of measuring up to a 3' x 5' part. We are able to inspect complex 3-D parts with process traceability, as well as reverse-engineering capabilities. Contract Inspection Services With the use of our Mitotoyo Brt 916 CMM, we are able to offer inspection services to outside customers ranging from simple 2-D parts to more complex 3-D parts. Our full time inspection department has over 10 years experience with CMM operations, reports, and certifications. This CMM is calibrated to ISO 10360-2:1994 standards.
